Every day I check for windows update so imagine my surprise when Windows Update tells me
Most recent check for updates: Never
Updates were installed: Never
Checking Installed updates they are there.
My BiL (in a different time zone and fast asleep now) said to try uninstalling KB929777 and reinstalling it
Although it uninstalled, windows update didn't offer it up to reinstall all it wanted to give me was a completely irrelevant genuine advantage update for office, irrelevant because although the however many days trial is on the PC I have never run it and just run their viewers.
Tried going to Microsoft but their help had so many terms and conditions including something about TAX that I came away confused and disheartened.
Thought I might ask here where things are so much more straight forward if this is a known problem.
