The easiest and most obvious answer to me is to not use a JS and type them in manually. If you don't want to do that, go into Google and search for 'free javascripts.
Hope this helps,
Gareth

If your up for a challenge why not convert your existing site over to a cms framework called MODx and that way you can just add a piece of code to your template that will display the date a particular page has been updated without you needing to do anything at all.
Good Luck

hi ianm,
The problem has been solved. It had Splash and me pulling our hair out for quite some time. It wasn't the javascript, everything worked fine when run on a pc and on my hosting account, but on Splashs' site it just kept displaying the current time.
It turned out to be a problem with his hosting. The .htaccess file had been hacked, his hosts discovered this and once that was corrected everything ran perfectly.
Sorting the .htaccess file also cured another problem. Sometimes when clicking a link to his site in search engine results pages you'd end up on a porn site, which was the intention of the hackers.
All the best - Duncan
