A friend of mine has noticed lately that although he can still hear the audio just fine that video itself is jerky rather than smooth
He's not sure if that lies with YouTube, the people uploading to YouTube or with his PC which, relevant or not, has the most recent version of Flash installed.
What's the best approach to recommend to him to help resolve this?

I had the same problem, then I got more RAM!!!
But before I did I used http://www.videoaccelerator.com/
It works just fine and the buffering is super fast.
