I occasionally watch programmes on the ITV Catchup and select the full-length programme feature. I have never had any problems with it until recently. Say I want to watch Coronation Street which is usually a 30 min long download. What happens now is one of two things: I will select the programme I want, then watch helplessly whilst the download icon twirls in the centre of the 'screen' (that circular thingy which takes you from 1-100% as it downloads?) but it will be stuck at say 2% and just stops working. I can't even reduce the screen to go something else whilst it downloads, everything freezes so that eventually, I can only switch off the computer at the tower.
If I do get lucky and the programme starts quickly enough, I will only get half-way through then everything freezes up again and I have to go through the whole routine of switching off the computer at the tower.
I am with Tiscali on the unlimited package but appreciate but at peak times things will be slow. But the problem occurs at any time, proved by my husband when he couldn't sleep a couple of times this week and ended up watching Corrie at 2am only to find the system freezing on him as well.
Is anyone else finding this a problem? If not, any ideas as to what I can try to cure this annoying glitch?
Ta!

I would try to -->> uninstall Adobe Flash Player <<-- first, then -->> reinstall Adobe Flash Player <<--
If that doesn't solve your problem, try uninstalling, then reinstalling -->> Silverlight 2 <<-- All the information reqd is in the link.
Coronation Street's working fine at my end so it's not an ITV problem.
