Recently my Windows Media player has stopped showing video files,now I know it recognises the files because I get the thumbnails in folders & in WMP however it will only play the audio,I've ruled out a codec problem because the files previously worked in WMP & the files work ok in other video players,tried looking on the online help section for WMP on the MS site but getting nowhere can anyone help?.

why did u say that you've ruled out a codec problem? It might be a codec problem of your WMP. Maybe the codec for your videos are missing or being disabled. U should check that.
