Makeover
      #43346 - Sun Feb 15 2004 12:55 AM

Gave barryoneoffs a bit of a make-over a couple of weeks ago. Would be interested in any comments or suggestions you may have. Also, I've been fixing a few odd bugs, if you come across any more, please let me know.
Cheers, Whiz...

Barry

Nice site with lots of info. Only thing i would add would be links at the base of each page to save the user who has scrolled down a page to scroll all the way back up to use the menu again.

But thats it - nice site

Yes, you're right about the bottom menu. It should be there with a 'back to top' link. Dunno how I forgot that! Cheers

Never noticed the arrow on the 'S', will sort it out.

Thanks to both of you for your comments.

Neat site, worth recommending. Just one tiny niggle, in the Acknowledgements. I would replace the wording about thanking the visitors with:

"I would also like to thank YOU, the visitors, for using the site and encouraging me with your feedback."

The reason is that the line as it stands is a tad longer than the column width, so the word "feedback" drops to the second line on its own. Just seems tidier to have it stay on a single line.

Whizwrinkly, one incredibly minor thing.

In your strange but true, Conicidences, JFK, Lincoln, it appears that the bottom line

Before he was killed, Lincoln spent time in Monroe, Maryland.
Before he was killed, Kennedy was reputed to have spent time in Monroe, Marylyn!

have accidentally been input in the wrong columns

Spell check too, and a visual proof read, I did spot various typos in the content.

Aha! Thanks again to you both. I must stop doing things in a hurry. As the old song goes - 'Little things mean a lot'. Especially where web design is concerned!

I had trouble seeing the content for all the ads, I've got nothing against people trying to make a little money from their sites, but a little more sublety would be nice.

A banner at the top, and a few in the right hand margin? I don't use pop-ups, and there are no ads at all in the content area. Though I say it myself, I've seen plenty worse than that.
But I did ask for your comments. Thanks for looking longplay, Whiz...
