Edimax EW-7318USg - wireless not connected
      #433422 - Tue Jun 30 2009 08:00 PM

Has anyone had experience of this particular adapter suddenly refusing to connect to a wireless network?

I've tried uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling; tried on another (already wireless enabled) laptop and it still refuses to get connected. Am wondering if it is faulty; however the device is seen by the laptop no problem. It did briefly show connected and then stopped again. It doesn't matter whether I am close to the main router or not.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Having tried it with more than one computer, it does sound as though the adapter may be faulty. However, try changing the channel number in the router's wireless settings and temporarily disable any WEP/WPA encryption to see if that lets it connect.
