My first site at last
      #433274 - Sun Jun 28 2009 11:59 AM

Hi all
I would very much appreciate if you would make comment on my first web site.
It is just my thoughts on angling.
Thanks
Steve

I have had a look at your website Steve and thought its really good!

A couple of things though......

1. Some of your pages are long. You should put a 'Top of Page' at the bottom of these pages.

2. You should include lots of photos of you and your mate fishing!

Good luck

Steve

Here's 3 transparent animations which may be more suitable than the one you have on your index page:

-->> Small <<--
-->> Medium <<--
-->> Large <<--

Take your pick by copying one or all to your hard drive for use.

Hi Fusion
Sorry for the delay.
Just arrived back from a few days fishing in Anglesey.
Thanks for the animations I will use the small one, it will look better than mine.
Cheers
Steve

Hi again Fusion
I was wondering if you could give me your opinion. PhotoShop is way out of my price bracket so could you recommend something similar in the freeware range. Iv`e been using Paint.NET but the layers part confuses me no end, also do you think it is better to build text or graphic files out side the web building program (Yola.com in my case)then import them into the page or try and build them in situ. Hope iv`e made that clear.
Steve

Paint.net is a good free program to do what you want. The layers give you more control over your image 'creation'. I would persevere with it. Have a look here -->> Paint.net tutorials <<--

I'm not familiar with Yola.com, but it is a free website builder with as you know limitations.
Regarding the creating of text and graphic files outside of the website builder, yes, that's the way to do it. Create your images in say Paint.net and insert them in as and when required.

As for text files, most web page editors that I have used allow you to type in the text you want and to format how you want. In fact they look and act like word processors.You can of course use say MS Word to create the text or Notepad etc, or simply copy from wherever and paste into the web page editor. Creating text within the web page editor gives you more control with what you want to do with it.
I don't know if Yola has this facility.

Try this program too -->> Photofiltre <<--

It's petty good too. I was impressed with it when I first stumbled across it.

Good luck.
