non disclosed fault with ebay
      #429045 - Tue Apr 28 2009 09:34 AM

Having read the Ebay writeup by Kim Gilmour (email address not given), in the latest webuser magazine, may I say that I will never use ebay ever again solely due to the way Paypal refuses to pay the seller. This was not mentioned in the ebay writup in the mag.
In 2006 I sold items to a total of 47 pounds and waited patiently for payment. After a while of not getting paid I wrote to Paypal asking why. The reply was that Paypal does not pay any seller if the total is less than 50 pounds, this is probably illegal but at the moment we await the 2 full trials against paypal in the USA which are still running.

So in essence if you are owed less than 50 pounds by Paypal then they refuse to pay unless you sell more items.

Yes they still owe me 47 pounds and there is no way of getting this monies owed.
makes you wonder how much money paypal have of ours eh.

You can withdraw ANY amount from your PayPal account, but over £50 is free and under you pay a small fee.

I either wait until I get past £50 before making a withdrawal or alternatively use the balance to buy any items I might want.

I am not sure I understand why you say you 'waited for payment'. On PayPal you just go in and click WITHDRAW and enter the amount you want to take out. 4/5 days later its in the bank. PayPal do not send money to you or anyone else UNLESS you instruct them to.

So to get your money without a fee why not send yourself an extra fiver by adding funds THEN withdraw the over £50 amount free? Simple.

Just a quick update on this as the original poster has not replied.

PayPal actually altered it's rules recently, so there is a £6 minimum withdrawal BUT no fee on the amount withdrawn (I had got so used to the old fee free over £50 that I never really noticed).

So again, why have you got £47 in PayPal since 2006?
