How do I start Windows 2000 without a user name or password prompt?? For 4 years my computer just started up. Now I have to enter user name and password? How can I eliminate this step again????

Thanks.

It depends at what point you are being asked for that information. Was this machine at some time connected to a business domain?

Try this:

Go to "Start > Run" type in control userpasswords and click OK.

In the box that opens, untick the option for "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer".
