It would also help us lazy people if you made the URL a clickable link like this http://www.jimweb1.co.uk
I've just had a quick look at your site (I know nothing about Web design BTW) but when I tried the News Headline links they all produced Java Script errors.
Also I thought the normal way of showing clickable links was to underline them. You seem to have a mixture of underlined items that are both links and non-links. The trouble is I'm probably the wrong person to offer comment 'cos I can't understand the attraction of F1 although my son say's that's because I'm too old.

Sorry Greysts. Your link doesn't work. You've missed the "F" out. (Bit like the old joke about there being no F in cod, but I won't go into that.)

It should have been http://www.JimwebF1.co.uk.

It could be that Jim hasn't searched all the forum help files to find out how to make a link clickable here (apologies if you designed this site Jim! ), so here's how it's done.

[ url ]http://www.JimwebF1.co.uk[ /url ]

I've left spaces either side of url to show how it's done, but to make it clickable, just leave the spaces out.

I'm not interested in car racing either, but I had a quick look and was suitably impressed, not knowing anything about web design myself. I see what Greysts means about the underlining though. You've obviously done it to keep everything looking the same, but it does result in "links" that aren't. Not a serious problem, but it could be worth thinking about.

I only clicked on a couple of links, but they worked ok for me.

Keep up the good work.

My website was designed by myself on Frontpage2000 and was launched about 2 years ago. The site is about Formula One and features F1 news and Video's etc

MY site also features a fantasy f1 game called Formula Jimweb.

The only thing i can think of that doesn't look good is all the empty space after the last bit which has a counter in it and 3 easyspace buttons, if those can be shifted it would make the site look a little more compact.

thank you for your comments...

I have contacted the provider of the news headlines as it is an error on their part not mine. Could you suggest a system I could use to replace underlining things that are not links, I thought about italic-ing them but im not too sure...

if anyone can offer a suggestion im all ways prepared to listen

Nothing wrong with underlining things, Jim, but you could use different colours for links yet to be viewed, and links viewed, so that they are different from standard underlining

I would loose some of the underlining on stuff that isn't a title. You could make all your links the standard blue and also have them change to green upon mouse over.

To be honest with you, I don't think you need to replace the underlining with anything. The words stand on their own and tell the viewer what he needs to know. I suppose you could standardise the font size so that all main headings are, for example, 20 point and sub headings are 14 point.

MY site has now been updated and re-designed. It now should display better in different resolutions and it has less underlining (with visited links that turn lime green)

hope you like the improvements, the comments read on this forum have been very helpfull.

If anyone can spot any more problems or just wants to offer a suggestion please post them here.

Had a look at your site last night, and had to agree with the other posters on most things. Compared to then, your site now looks much better, more compact and uniform. Nice web site, good re-design.

Thank you for all of your comments they have been a great help, the site now looks a lot different to what it did before i posted and the changes have been for the better.

forums like this are good for website editors because after hours of looking at your own site you don't spot the faults or realise the improvements

thanks once again
