Hello everyone
I bring good news - Amazon has launched its MP3 store in the UK.
Amazon is inviting customers to leave feedback on its site, but we'd like to hear your thoughts too - are you over the moon? Unimpressed? Couldn't care less?
Personally, I'm happy to hear it is all DRM free and that the four majors are on board, though these are by no means industry firsts. I can imagine that I will be using it quite a lot though, given the pricing structure.

With prices starting at 59p a track and £3 per album it sounds pretty good. A lot of the chart songs look cheaper than iTunes. I like it, and the fact that its DRM free is great.

Seems like a big back catalogue too - two million songs from 180,000 artists and 20,000 labels

I like the fact that it's nicely integrated with the main Amazon store and that tracks you buy are added to the normal Basket (although whole albums require the Amazon MP3 Downloader). It means you can easily pick up a few new 'choons' while you're doing your other shopping and helps you reach the £5 Super Saver Delivery threshold if you're 50p or so short.
Lots of Christmas songs too.

I've not purchased anything yet, but wanted to see if they had anything I am into, and lo and behold they DID!

Need to look for others, but impressed by that.

I think people should support this service if you love music.
I was previously reluctant to buy digital music downloads due to DRM restrictions and what I considered to be overinflated prices.
But with the excellent The Fratellis - Costello Music available at the bargain price of £3, I took the plunge and made my first ever digital music purchase. Very impressed
