WIN ME will not load. Message: "Windows has detected registry/configuration error." Safe mode only shows Safe mode logo in each corner of the screen. Help would be greatfully appreciated.

Whilst in Safe Mode try restoring the system to an earlier date, which, amongst other things, restores a previous version of the registry.
It might just work.
