I've downloaded the Firefox Browser from the official site and imported data from IE7.
When I try to go onto Webuser's site and other sites like the BBC where where I am registered I cannot access the websites unless I try to log in and re-register all my details and even then some will not accept me re-entering the same information.
Also my own forum only shows some of the layout and does not show the scrolling bar that allows you to navigate left and right using it. And some of the features are missing because I cannot scan left or right.
Others say that they've installed the Firefox Browser and not had this problem and they don't have to keep re-entering information so they can swop between IE7 and Firefox without having to do any of this.
Any ideas how to cure the problem or why it's happening to me?
Many thanks...
Gildy

Your login information, (name and password), are retained in a cookies which are saved in their respective browser cache's. Internet Explorer & Firefox are different and don't share each others information.
You will have to login in each browser you use. However, you will lose all cookie held details should you delete browser history via IE's Internet Options and FF's Options -> Private Data.
Should you use programs such as CrapCleaner to clean out your browsers histories, you can opt to save cookies of your choice which hold the details you want to save.
Regarding your own forum. Unfortunately Firefox sometimes doesn't always show a web page correctly for various reasons. My own website for instance worked and looked just as I wanted it in IE but in FF, I had to change a few things to make it work right. I'm not a website expert so learned the hard way . . . trial and error. Fortunately the web design and development tools I use/used (Dreamweaver 8) allows you to view your would be pages in different browsers to check compatibility.

Thanks Fusion, That would seem to make a lot of sense. Installing Firefox has meant it says it is my default browser but then again as IE7 continues to work and has all the features and data it always had and always done so, all I have to do is click the mouse on the Explorer icon and I am none the wiser that I even downloaded Firefox and I can ignore it. Which if I have to keep re-entering information(cookies)to be recognised by certain sites and as sites I use with IE7 show on the screen correctly, it may be as easy to continue using IE7.
I can leave Firefox on the pc as an alternative I guess as it's not interfering with anything as far as I can tell.
I'm not sure if it's worth deleting it? If deleting it would cause problems elsewhere because of shared data. Firefox may have more features but I'm wondering if I'm gaining anything from having it even though recent articles in Webuser suggests it's brilliant.
Thanks...your help, is appreciated.

Gildey, hello neighbour
Should you want to change the default back to Internet Explorer, go to Internet Options -> Programs -> Default Web Browser -> Make Default ->Apply/OK.
Just to clarify, you shouldn't have to keep re-entering login details each and every time you access a site via Firefox as long as they are held in the 'Cache's' history.
Please give Firefox a chance. In my opinion it is far superior to IE for it's ability to customise it to how 'you' want it to look and behave. It does take some getting used to and you can, as you already have found, use both IE & FF together without any problems. Some sites, banking ones in particular, will not allow you to use Firefox for some of the features so using IE is the only course of action.
However, using Add-Ons or 'Extensions' as they were called to enable in this instance the ability to change over to the IE rendering engine is a god send. The Add-On I use for this is called >>> IE Tab <<<
Regarding your forum not displaying correctly, there's a good chance that if it's not right on your Firefox browser, it's not right on everyone else's FF browser. You will have to check that out on someone else's System who's using FF.

I'll play around with it then
At least I can still get online with IE7, the worry was initially that once I had Firefox, neither would work and I would be locked out totally.
Luckily, they are independent of each other. I suppose Firefox will be improved on all the time and upgraded.
I thank you for the tip regarding changing the default...
