I see the Daily Mirror Keep their readers up to date with the Webusers community News(albeit it a few months behind!) They are reporting on the Red Ring of Death issues with the Xbox (which I think was due to a rushed main circuit design release)Hence M$ cannot pinpoint why this occurs!
So far here are some hard Numbers MS have a 500 Million Pound repair Bill! They have to be shipped to Germany for repair! Their Power cords were subject to recall(in 2003) when 300 caught fire! Experts say that 33% of all the consoles will have an overheat failure (12million sold world-wide) To use the American term Go Figure! And, the Custom Steering wheel was recalled in 2007 for overheating issues! (230K of these)
Meanwhile the PS3 has its own issues with some backwards compatability issues Yet all I've seen is a Brittle top Cover plate for the front A/V cover sockets (Its too lightweight Sony!)

I think you have your facts incorrect, you refer to the power cable issue that was with the XBOX, however the RROD is related to the XBOX 360 two different consoles.
FYI When a 360 is collected FREE OF CHARGE from your own address, it is repaired in the UK and not Germany.
I would avoid reading poor journalism in future.

Mouse? I quoted almost verbatim from the Mirror (fault must lies in their facts) I went in a "Game" store the other week and their Xbox demonstrators were turned off . And all the others were running (Makes you wonder?) On YouTube this seems to be a popular subject with "Fixes" galore Glad I'm sticking to PCs, PS2s & 3s Reliablity is good on these.

If you read what I wrote, I suggested that you no longer read said publication as they have given you duff information.
The PS2 had massive disc read errors making games unplayable, they also suffered with memory card faults too, so they aren't flawless either, the PS3 has it's problems too, only last week did my work colleague have his taken away as it wasn't reading game discs either. So reliability isn't all what you claim.
It's technology, these things happen. People always have issues with technology, I'm not Sony bashing, but these elitist comments get on my nerves, just like Mac owners who claim they never have issues viruses and the like.
