was flicking through my emails when i come to this one which had the subject as "notification of limited account access" it was saying someone had been trying to log into my eBay account grrrrrrr i got in touch with eBay and they told me its a scam so if anyone else gets one bin it Click
I think the clue that it is a scam is in the message a) ebay wouldn't send you messages anyway b) the appalling spelling. c) the atrocious grammar d) and finally, a check on the ip address would probably find that it is your ip address, which sort of makes you wonder who has managed to sneak in, turn on your pc and attempt to hack into your ebay account

thanks putasolutions i often get scams from banks in my emails infact i got 3 yesterday but i use "banksafeonline" to report them plus they say your bank would never ask for your account details .............PS.does your IP address change every time you boot up PC and what happens if a person gets your ip can the person damage if they are a "hacker"

I think it has been said on this Forum before, eBay are GREAT at dealing with these IF you have fallen foul. Your account is secured faster than Superman folds on laundry day.
Trouble is when you are smart enough to spot them and report them, very LITTLE happens. You will probably get an email telling you it wasn't sent by them, not to click on links and what to do if you have - this despite the fact you reported it in the first place.
The biggest issue with these is they do tend to catch out the Powersellers, believe it or not.
The main reason is because they get so many emails, and you are wading through sales and stupid questions and just trying to get on top.
My favourite was the guy that kept emailing me an invoice for $384 of golf clubs from America. Asking me to complete my PayPal registration and the what would happen if I did not pay.
It works on some, and not always the daft.

Nice to hear. I wish they would shoot the Chinese spammer that sends me phoney eBay emails EVERY day to sell his dodgy electrical goods. Fortunately it always goes to my Spam folder.
