networking a printer

I have a canon i560 and would like to add it to a network - what will I need to do this please

The simplest and cheapest method is to connect your printer to any PC on your network and then share it out to the network. However that requires you to leave the PC switched on at all times so other PCs on the network can access the printer. Would that be a problem? If it is you'll need a print server something like this.

It's that simple - well I'll give it a try as I don't mind running the printer whilst the pc the printer is attached to is on - but thanks for the other link as well.
