Let's face it, even the best of us have off days when it comes to spelling. But not if you're using Firefox!

Go to your Firefox browser bar, and click "tools". From there, click "options" and then the "advanced" tab. You'll see a box that says "check my spelling as I type". Click on it. That's the spelling part turned on!

However, there's more...

Firefox's default dictionary is American (understandably, as it's a US program), but there are many different kinds of dictionary available for it, as add ons. To view and download the British dictionary for example, click on this link;

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=british+dictionary&cat=all

Follow the instructions, and when asked "do you wish to make this your default dictionary" after installing, click "accept".

Alternatively, if you're interested in a more specialist kind of dictionary such as Australian English, Old German, Icelandic or even Latin, then try this link;

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=dictionary&cat=all

Have fun!

It seems the basic dictionary is English (US). The spell-checker will therefore underline as an 'error' (in wiggly red) because you have used a UK spelling. However, if you right click, at the bottom of the suggested spellings is an option to 'add to dictionary' which I always do.

I was thereby steadily teaching the thing to speak English(UK). but it makes more sense to use your link and add the British Dictionary anyway.
