Remove LinkScanner from AVG simply

First up to achieve this you will have to download a copy of AVG 8.0 to a location of your choice then uninstall your current AVG version and reboot. Disconnect from the internet and disable your firewall. Follow the procedure here for a custom install of AVG without the LinkScanner/Search-Shield.
