If you could ask the BBC a question about the iPlayer what would it be?
Also - what do you like about the iPlayer and what do you dislike? What would you like to see? What would you change?
Your questions wanted please....

I like iplayer as it is, very handy.
but if they could add CH4 and ITV to it , it would be great.

I really like iPlayer, it's an easy way to catch something I've missed, or re-view a program (or part of a program) I want to see again. For instance, last night I missed the first 15 minutes of Graham Norton (with John Malkovich), this morning I watched it.
My only real gripe is the 7 day limit on content, unlike 4OD who have some great output going back years. I recently rewatched the original 'Comic Strip Presents...' - I would love to be able to watch some of the BBCs archive material too, such as 'Play for Today' (real television ).

I would like to see the programs on iplayer that would normally be postponed as a result of some sports fixture, allowing the iplayer to be used as an alternative channel. I have always hated the fact that some of my favourite programs, (Star Trek for example) were always moved to some undefined later date because of some snooker match

Will they make it available for mobile phones?
Can they get rid of the 7 day limit?

Been in a rural area why can't the iplayer work properly with slower connection speeds like .5mb or .25mb ?

Can they introduce more content as it seems very limited.

BBC iplayer is now part of Virgin TV (cable). A bit tricky to find at first attempt, but if you view BBC2 channel and press the upper right Red button, loads of the best progs from the past 7 days are available, including BBC3 and 4, which I'd hitherto neglected to watch.

I use iplayer on our TV through Virgin Media. I would also like to see the opportunity to see some older programmes available to watch.

how about making available other countries outside the uk as i remember there was someone ask how come iplayer dosent work in a certain country this is due to that its only allowed to uk users. this would be a good idea for example if you are out on a holiday you have a chance to watch it if you have access to the internet
maybe show some recent films that they broadcast on the bbc channels but of course not for free

found this in the bbc iplayer's faq page :
Rights agreements mean that BBC iPlayer television programmes are only available to users to download or stream (Click to Play) in the UK. However, BBC Worldwide is working on an international version, which we will make available as soon as possible.

I understand plans are afoot to merge iPlayer with BBC Radio's Listen Again facility.
Is this true? If so I'm worried the latter facility might be messed up. I use it all the time and it's great. Please leave well alone dear Mr. Controller.

The new BETA player makes it much easier to see which programmes are available for viewing on my favourite channel, BBC Four
