The Little things you learn when Browsing Forums about things in Town to watch out for which are never Posted but locals treat as insignificant This was posted the other day within a topic about "Things you Hate the Most" and its worth passing on Its from a guy who commutes into New York City Quote:
My wife either takes the subway or walks to Penn and one thing I used to “fear” was that some idiot would push her onto the tracks or a car would jump the curb and hit her. Both are relatively common in the city. I don’t stress myself about that anymore.
She also does the crazy insane thing I won’t ever, ever do. When she walks she actually steps on manhole covers.
I will do no such thing as I know better , heck I won’t even step on subway vents . Stray voltage is a common problem, especially after it rains. People and dogs get zapped all the time in the city.
And at the end of the Post he says Quote:
I am going to Yankee Stadium this Friday (day game) for the make up Mets – Yankees game that was rained out a while ago. The guys I am going with threatened to tie me to a manhole cover if I keep it up.
(He's a OTT supporter )and Its a Local Derby!
