Hi all,
Was not sure what to put this question under... I am trying to donwload a free tool from the internet to convert pdf files back to Word files etc, can anybody recommend anything that is free?
Any tips gratefully received.

To the best of my knowledge you won't find anything free to do that job. What you are looking for is, in effect, a full Acrobat editor and Adobe guard their software very carefully to make sure no one can copy it without paying.
Probably the most effective way would be to print out a high quality version, scan it and then use the OCR software you normally get with a scanner to convert the scanned image into a Word document.

I've used This in the past with a reasonable degree of success
It starts off free but after a period of time it starts to ask you to put in the answer to a 'simple' calculation before conversion, a calculation that you will need either a maths degree or a sound knowledge of excel to calculate but if it's a one off project then fill your boots before the trial period expires

I use this freebie.
The formatting can be lost, but that is one thing you lose with any programs like this, as the pdf format was designed to create a standard format

If not mistaken you can download a free converter from this website. If you need more info about file extension pdf or other formats, can visit Uniblue's library, but their products are not free.
