Hi - I'm new here and (of the fairer sex) not that good at this computer stuff, so please be gentle with me.
I have just bought a new computer which has Vista Home premium. I connect wirelessly to BT home hub with Bt broadband option 3 which includes norton security etc and anti -spyware.
My question is: doesn't vista have a firewall and Windows defender built in anyway? So does one need anything else? I'm a bit confused!

Unfortunately Microsoft's track record for providing quality protection is somewhat non existent hence why most turn to 3rd party companies to secure their machines. Although most purists will damn and double damn Norton as a whole, the program you have does offer very good all round protection.
