Pictures Slow to Upload
      #398029 - Thu Jun 19 2008 10:25 PM

Hi,

I am finding that uploading pictures to Ebay is taking ages. Quite often I can write my whole ad, put in postage rates and set the time my ad is to start before the pictures are uploaded.

I only put a maximum of three pictures in my ads and I upload them from ' my pictures' on my PC

Can I speed the uploading up somehow?

If you mean Gallery photos, they can take a while. It will be especially long winded if you are listing at the 'best times' say 6pm to 10pm.

Two potential ways round:

Turbo lister. You load the photo into Turbo Lister, do as many listings as you want then click 'Upload' when you are ready. Go off, make a cuppa etc.

The other way is Photobucket. First off on eBay at the minute with 'Summer of Free Pictures' only one photo is free. Are you paying for the others, Tony?

Upload photos to Photobucket (free account). Then use the HTML code in your eBay listings - better clearer photos AND free!

I think somewhere in this section there is a guide to using Photobucket but try this:

I now use Photobucket for all listings. Write a description and then flick to the HTML section.

If like me, you are a bit of a novice at HTML, you might want to type PICTURE in the description and look for that in the HTML and insert the Photobucket HTML there.

It means you can show many views of an item and it costs absolutely nowt.

I often used to get emails saying 'what does the back of it look like' 'what's the side view'. Now you can cover all that with a few bits of free code.

Photobucket allows you to select one or more photos that way for a listing.
