Here's a Firefox 3 tip that lets you add tags (keywords) so you can access your bookmarked sites straight from the URL Address bar using that keyword.
Click Bookmarks, Organise Bookmarks Click the bookmark you wish to tag Click the More button underneath Enter your keyword in the keyword field. Now type your keyword into the URL bar. You should go straight to the page.
It's worth adding that this function already exists for Google Toolbar users. However it can only link you to a home page.
Only tags will work if you want to link to a particular page within a site.
Tagging also ensures you get delivered to the right extension, i.e ebay.co.uk and not www.ebay.com.
This tip is especially useful for people using a laptop keypad who might find it easier than scrolling through a long list of bookmarks.
