Internet Explorer Team bake a cake for Mozilla
      #397823 - Wed Jun 18 2008 01:09 PM

This story made me smile..

"In honour of today's Firefox 3 release, Microsoft's Internet Explorer team gave a cake to Mozilla. The tasty treat, which prominently displays IE's blue "e" icon, just arrived here at Mozilla headquarters in Mountain View."

Sending cake has become quite a tradition. Here's what they baked up for the launch of Firefox 2 back in 2006.

As noted in the article, Firefox is taking an ever bigger slice of the "Web Browser Cake"

The Web Browser battle between Mozilla and Microsoft has been waged since the mid nineties and market share is ever more important now, as demonstrated in this New York Times article.

The Web Browser is now the single most important application on your computer, and will become even more so as we move into an age of ubiquitous wifi access and web services that continue to work even after you lose your connection.
