why your kids don't like using proper grammar
      #397681 - Tue Jun 17 2008 10:35 AM

Hi all,

I was browsing through you-tube (as you you do) and found this :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mj6QqCH7g0Q&feature=user

not only did it reassure me that the reason I couldn't understand the reason why I couldn't always follow what the alleged singers were singing when my son was playing some music, it also soothed my ego as I felt a bit younger too.

enjoy

Ray

Haha,

Thanks. Here is the original song, Timbaland - The Way I Are, that got school teachers so worked up.

It includes the line:

"Baby girl, I don't got a huge ol' house I rent a room in a house"

I notice, having taught English, some children begin life speaking really well up until about the age of about 10. Then they go to secondary school and try to fit in by speaking "gangsta"!
