iQon computers?
      #396366 - Wed Jun 04 2008 09:21 PM

Does anybody know anything about these PC's.. I have been offered one for sale but can't find anything about them other than it seems to be an irish company who are now in receivership? Does anybody know if these machines are reliable? Apologies if this is in the wrong forum!

I've never heard of them but if they're not a particularly big company they'll use generic parts so getting drives for the motherboard or replacements shouldn't be too difficult.

Can you find out a bit about it before you decide?

I had a quick look at the system. It has 1GB RAM and Intel Pentium processor running at 2.8 GHz ... it certainly did not appear slow.. It seems that iQon used to supply machines to both Tesco and Littlewoods but are now in administration. It also appears they had some affiliation with Philips but I can't find out anything else. The system itself was being sold to include a Philips flat screen monitor. I bought it and it seems abso fine... so far! I think well worth £200.
