is there any way of speeding up the copying of a movie to dvd, after downloading a movie to a folder i copy it to dvd using nero vision but it takes 4 hours or more, i do use the high setting in priority

you're talking about converting your movies (maybe in .avi or .mpeg containers) and recoding them to be able to play in dvd's, right (hence the use of nero vision)? personally, i don't like using menus when i backup videos in dvd's so i use winavi converter and merge them into one dvd, then use dvdshrink if i want to save more space, then burn it using nero burning rom and burn it as a dvd video disc (don't use the nero vision bit. don't get me wrong, it's a great software, but it's relatively slow for my taste).

G'day.
NTSC format is better. Can write up to 9hrs of veiwing onto a 4.7GB +R DVD I gave up using DVDshrink years ago.
