I installed this program a long time ago, and thought I had uninstalled it. But when I went into the control panel to try to find out why my computer was running so slow I found it was there, and cant find a way to get rid of it. Could this be the problem, and how can I get rid of it
search for UpdateStar and right click and delete the entry.
Also search in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows and delete the entry
In Windows Explorer, go to individual user settings and delete relevant program references. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserID\Start Menu\Programs C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserID\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
