Hello first post here looking to change my avatar tips please (new to this) do I just go on a site (which do you recommend) any advice appreciated.

Yours looks pretty good to me

However, any image in gif, jpg or png format of 80 x 80 pixels in size will do do.

Use a hosting site rather than hotlinking will ensure that the image isn't replaced by the dreaded red x

This is a relatively good tutorial on how to resize an image ( remember 80x80 pixels max )

Thanks for reply I was hoping to choose a fun one maybe animated hence site but may have a go using own pics I have ACDsee so now I know sizes may have a play with own pictures

You can use a site such as Gifworks for an online gif resizer. just make sure it isn't too in your face, they aren't always popular
