You won't find any free electoral roll lookups. 192 is the only company that holds that sort of data. Ancestry have got the entire BT telephone directory from 1880 to 1984 and I have access to that if it helps.

Have you tried www.Friendsreunited.co.uk ? I found several people by querying here . There is another UK Forum that has much the same Info called Schoolfriends reunited (or something)

Well in that case, you will have to pay a high price, me thinks. Why don't you write to the last known address and ask they forward the mail. If they have just moved, then maybe their redirection service is still operating. Try operator services, if they are with BT, that might do it.
