Hi all, I've been using Firefox now for quite some time so I recently installed Firefox 3 and for one reason or another I didn’t much care for it so uninstalled it.
Now when I click the Orb (I'm using Vista home Premium BTW) I just get a World at he top of the list which doesn’t connect to anything, and Properties wont give me the option of replacing it with Firefox. I've solved that problem by just removing the World and dragging the Firefox icon into it's place.
The problem I now have is twofold - 1. Firefox keeps asking if I want to make it the default browser (I always answer yes). I know I could just take the tick out of the box to stop it asking but that wouldn’t solve my next problem -
2. When clicking a link in an email my email client (Outlook 2007) tells me I'm performing an illegal action (or something like that) and I have to cut & paste the link into the browser.
I'm sure the reason for the second problem is due to the first, so can anyone give me any ways round this without uninstalling Firefox as I've loads of add-ons, themes and bookmarks I don’t want to lose.
Cheers Guys A

i just go the firefox v3.0 beta and i am not liking what i see. i know that it will just be hell on vista because of the "security measures" that is default on the operating system. btw, my best guess to the default browser thing is that vista has a redundant registry entry where it defaults internet explorer as the default browser - hence the popup. hope that helps.
