emails not printing
      #268319 - Sun Mar 19 2006 06:06 PM

I am using Outlook Express on Windows XP. I can received and send emails with no problem. When I have an email displayed on screen and I try to print it out I get the message 'An error has occured in the scripts on this page', It gives line 2076, Char 1, Error unspecified, and a URL res://ieframe.dll/preview.dlg all in the error box. I am using a laptop connected by a wireless router to a tower pc and if I forward an email to the tower pc I have no problem in printing it out.
Many thanks... Jeff

Try this first (IE/OE closed). Go to Start, Run and type regsvr32 ole32.dll in the box. Click OK and then try printing again.

If I'm that good, best you make sure that your football team does the right thing in Germany, if you know what I mean!

I tried greysts above remedy but it still does not print (Outlook 2002/Windows XP Pro). This problem started only recently after I installed IE 7.

Kindly help
Many thanks

Then I would suggest you uninstall IE7. It is a Beta release and as such does not work properly.

I am getting the same error and tried the solution provided. However, it came up with a big red X and gave me an error number 0x80070005. I am using Vista. Could that be the problem?

I realize this comes almost two years after the fact, but maybe it will help someone else who is having the same problem.

The trouble with greysts' remedy is that he didn't have the complete entry that is needed to clear up the error.

Click Start>Run> key in (type)(or copy and paste) this entry exactly as it appears here:

Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll

Note the space between exe and the rest of the entry.

Click OK. A dialog box should appear telling you that the process was completed successfully.

That will do the trick--in Windows XP, XP-SP2, and XP-SP3.

Sorry but my solution was correct. Adding all that extra stuff makes not one iota of difference unless you've got a system where someone has been mucking about with the location of DLL files. The entry %windir% is a wild card that directs the command to the directory in which Windows was installed. In any case the regsrv32 command doesn't need to be told where to find the file.
