Hi, It would appear you have integrated graphics on your motherboard. You do not need to remove this, but you will need to disable it. I take it that your motherboard has the appropriate slot for your new graphics card ie AGP or PCI-E.

Would i just need to uninstall the drivers then ?
Or just turn it off ?

Many Thanks

You will need to disable it in the BIOS

Go to the Device Manager in Windows, right-click the entry for the driver for your onboard graphics card and select Disable. Apply the changes and shut down your PC.
Now install your new graphics card, making sure it’s firmly connected into the socket and connected to your monitor.
Boot the PC and enter the Setup menu to access the BIOS. Go to the 'Advanced Features’ page and select to 'Disable Onboard VGA’. The wording and location may vary according to your BIOS. Save changes to the BIOS and exit. PC will reboot, Windows should detect new graphics card and ask you to install its drivers.

Warning: Making changes to BIOS settings can have adverse effects on the way a computer performs. Use caution when performing BIOS modifications.

To enter BIOS (Basic Input Output System) you would normally press the 'delete' key during start up. (It will tell you on the screen what key to depress).

If you look in the various screens, you should find something to do with on-board VGA. Failing that google for a manual for the make and model of motherboard, unless you already have one. From there you will have detailed instructions on how to disable on-board graphics.
You could also just install the new graphics card without changing the BIOS, and it may work without conflicts.
