      #393839 - Thu May 08 2008 11:21 PM

I have tried to use the Secret Star Wars as mentioned in Issue 187 in your feature Hidden Treasures but once I have followed your instructions in the article Windows XP pops up with Windows cannot find 'telnettowel.blinkenlights.en'. Please can anyone help !!
I'm not sure if its me not doing it right !!

I can't get this to work either. The box comes up with a message "connecting to towel.blinkenlights.nl" for about 30 secs and then disappears. I have entered it exactly as above.

1. On Your Desktop, Hit Start Button, Click Run
2. Type TELNET
3. A Seperate Window should open
4. First hit enter, then type the letter o and hit enter again, then type towel.blinkenlights.nl and press enter.

As mentioned in this thread

try

telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl just as it says in the mag and it should use the defult windows telnet client if enabled( it is by defult when windows is installed)

or if you have a telnet client that you use open it and enter the address in there

according to the post you made you are trying to connect to the server with out telling windows what to use (ya missing out the telnet bit that goes in front of the address)

Thanks. I got it working now. I copied and pasted the text from the post further up, although I'm sure it wouldn't work before.

Mouse's method worked ok too.
