Revo Uninstaller helps you to uninstall and remove unwanted programs installed on your computer even if you have problems uninstalling and cannot uninstall them from "Windows Add or Remove Programs" control panel applet.

    What's new in Revo Uninstaller version 1.60:

  • Added warning message when uninstalling of an application affects another one
  • Added option "Delete files to the Recycle bin" for found files in Junk files cleaner
  • Added option "Delete files and folders to the Recycle bin" for found leftovers after uninstall
  • Improved speed of scanning for leftover items
  • Improved speed of deleting of found leftover files and folders
  • Improved user interface of uninstalling wizard
  • Improved user interface of options dialog
  • Automatically fix of wrong uninstall command of Windows Installer (MSI) based applications
  • Show context menu in the uninstaller when the Applications keyboard key is pressed
  • Fixed minor bugs
  • Added new languages - Belarusian and Hellenic

I had a go again with Revo (after earlier problems). I now find it's an excellent utility.

Ray, I downloaded Revo last night. When it arrived on the desktop there was a large red X in a circle half covering it.

Is this telling me something nasty? Never seen this on one of your downloads before.

Never seen anything like it George. Could it be your spyware/antivirus applications flagging something in the download. I'll download it to Desktop and check the folder with my protection.
Edit. Ahh I think they've changed the download icon that's all. Thinks again maybe the red cross is larger but it is the usual icon. I never see it because my downloads are controlled by Maxthon Downloader.

Thanks Ray, I did delete last night's download without scanning with AVG8. Will now download again and check it out.

Edit. Download shows the X prominently although AVG8 reports no threat.

Just out of curiosity I downloaded again from Download.com. Same icon - the box with the red X encircled towards the side of it. No threat says AVG8.

It's the normal icon for Revo Uninstaller.

i also have revo uninstaller and the large x in red circle on desktop icon signifies that revo uninstaller completely uninstalls programmes leaving no traces or evidence on hardrive. so its nothing to worry about
