After using my Dell Dimension 8300 since about 2002, I get the feeling after sticking in another hard drive, upgrading the memory and the graphics card I have done about as much as I can. Time for it to go to the kids.
I need a PC that will cope with games (Call of Duty, Total War, Pro Evo Soccer 6) but also be a work PC as I run my own website and sell as a business on eBay (should get some tax relief then!!) Also photo editing (nothing major) and the standard music storage - I tend to use the current PC more than the hifi.
I have an LG 19inch widescreen monitor that I may keep, so essentially I need the basic PC and keyboard.
But what to get? Budget around a grand.
Have considered Dell, but anyone who read my comments on their awful customer service this year when I tried to buy my wife a laptop will understand I am not toooo keen to go back.
As with the one I currently have I am looking for something I can expand later if needed, but more importantly something I KNOW is up to date.
So, knowing there are a few of you who know something good when you see it, what would you suggest?
What would you say is a MUST have and what to AVOID?
Comments appreciated.
-------------------- I loved my grandmother very much.......and she fetched a good price on eBay.
