Have you ever wished you could do a Google Search and just get the pages that have been updated in the last 24 hours/week/month/6 months etc.
Now you can!
Do a Google Search as normal.
Then add &as_qdr=d to the end of URL in the address bar.
You will get a custom drop-down box that lets you filter your results based on date.
This is especially useful if you want to search for a new gadget or web service.
Some clever person even created a Bookmarklet for this tip. See here
It's worth pointing out that you should also click the News button which will conduct the same search on the news and blog sites which is the search I usually use for up-to-date information.
Google News has a built in date filter on the left side of the page, letting you filter by last hour, last day, past week or past month, as well as a Sort By Date button at the top of the page.
