Game Hosting
      #392649 - Fri Apr 25 2008 02:07 AM

Recently I upgraded to IE7, and after the upgrade I was no longer able to host a PC Game by Atari & Southlogic named Deer Hunter the 2005 season. I have a Dell Dimension 3000,
w/Windows XP, Verizon DSL. I used the uninstall tool to remove IE 7 and
reverted back to IE6, but still cannot host. GD IE7. Has anyone else
experienced this issue. Need help - are there remains of the IE 7, that may have installed a firewall. I do get a message when setting up the game, to host; "server may not be published in gamespy due to possible firewall". The windows firewall has been on and off, and seems to make no difference. I have the Westell VersaLink 327 setup for Port Forwarding with GameSpy, used for the Deer Hunter game.

I did attempt to host from another Dell (2350) with IE 6, but could not connect to the host game from the Dimension 3000. I believe the IE 7 has set up a firewall or antivirus to block the hosting function.

HELP
