Searchme Visual Search Engine
      #392518 - Wed Apr 23 2008 09:55 PM

Searchme is a novel new way of visually searching for content. Just type in your keyword and it gives you categories to search on such as software, music, sales and bargains.

Then you get preview windows similar to the Firefox extension Piclens.

The only problem is it is US Centric.

Excellent find. I Tried some UK locations and it does work well, even brought up some results that even Google has not got listed
Wonder what search engine is being used here in the Background? 8/10 (10/10 if there were more Hits possible)
As to the Graphics Really surprised to find they are "Flash" Thought it might have been a Silverlight Page.Score 10/10
Fine tuning om the Subheadings is a bit "Hit and Miss" (and No Image search link) Can only award a 6 for this
Shall add this to my collection

PS The Pages that are generated are a bit out of focus and there is no auto-zoom aid to increase the Page to a readable size like on some image sites!

Yes the fancy search results certainly seem to be catching on.

Take a look at PictureSandbox, which searches photo sites such as Flickr, Stockxpert and Webshots.

Also check out CreativSpace image search powered by Google Image Search.

Though if you like this, just download PicLens, which is available for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari browsers.
