Just before Christmas, we bought a Panasonic DVD recorder and P. Viera TV. Since then I have recorded quite a few series for someone who has been out of the country. Before I ask the dreaded question, how easy is it to transfer to disc, I need to know about discs.
We have to transfer 12 half hr progs " " 5 X 1 hr progs " " 6 X 1 hr progs,
so about 17 hrs in total. Because I've never done this before, I have no idea if this amount will fit onto one disk. Advice please.

If you've recorded them on your DVD recorded, are they not already on a DVD? Or does your DVD recorder have a HD to which you've recorded the programmes? If it's the latter, there should be a function on your recorder which should allow you to transfer programmes from the HD to a DVD at varying quality. The lower the quality, the more you will get on a DVD, but the poorer the picture. I've got a Pioneer DVD recorder with a HD and this is what you can do with that.
