MSN Windows Live Messenger Pop-Up Box
      #391663 - Wed Apr 16 2008 09:55 AM

Hello,

I was just wondering if it were possible to increase the pop-up box time that appears whenever a new contact signs in on Windows Live Messenger.

At the moment a box appears, and it displays around 5 seconds on the bottom right hand screen of the desktop. I am looking for a way to increase this time, because I regually miss this notice.

any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

Paradox

Welcome to the forum

It's just standard, there are no options to increase the "contact online alert".

Thanks for the very quick reply!

Thanks for welcoming me to the forum!

It's a shame this time can't be increased

You're welcome. Never mind, just be thankful that instant messengers are around! ("We didn't have them in my youth" - she says in a granny voice )

there may be a way by reshacking the XML files within the main application, I'll have a look into it later for you.
