hi i was told that you can give yourself more disk space if you change the amount recycle bin and system restore takes up is this true is it OK and how do i do it please .
to decide on the percentage of disk space to use u must consider the size of hard drive ur using i have a 500gb hd so mine is set at 1% which is plenty normally set the percentage so system restore only uses a max of 5gb and recycle bin no more than 100mb that way u can utilise more disk space for yourself
OurStanley is quite right. 3% 'system restore' allows for enough restore points. I've never understood why anyone would need the default of 12% anyway.
You will notice a dramatic increase in 'free space' on the disc when you have done it. Mine increased from 13.0GB to 17.0GB when I did it some weeks ago .
