Sky sends digital signals via a satellite whilst the Hauppage USB tuner picks up analogue signals via a TV aerial. Two entirely different technologies.

G'day Chbeddows.

If your sky box has an RF (coaxial) output and the USB has an RF (coaxial) input then it can be done by connecting them together, only if the USB tuner is analogue.

I understand this but is there a tuner on the market for sky digital?

No there isn't. Sky control who can watch their output and they only issue a decoder card if you pay your monthly subscription. Even then the card will only fit in a standard Sky digibox.

Is this what you're looking for? I'm considering incorporating it into a new pc (when I get round to it!)

From BlackGolds notes:

"Pay to view satellite channels can not be viewed with a BlackGold satellite product"

Missed that. Must be just 'Freesat' compatible then.
