Hi everyone

Im new to this forum. I am looking for some advice for basic processes really.

Im reasonably proficient with HTML, but generally sites i have created i have cheated and used web wizards! So im looking for advice on whats the best FTP product out there and how to upload a index.htm and where to host it!

All advice welcomed!

I use www.streamline.co.uk

Very reasonably priced for web hosting and you get a free domain name too. They provide an FTP program for you. Under £20 for the year.

I've had no problems with them so far.

I would recommend keeping your host & registrar separate, that way you're not tied to a host - which, of the two, is the most likely to cause problems at some future date, or you may just want to change to a better, cheaper, or more elaborate host at some point.
