problem with hibernation
      #390540 - Sun Apr 06 2008 11:44 AM

I read with interest the article about power saving (issue 184, Page 44). I can't seem to get the hibernation mode working properly on my desktop.

I have hibernation enabled on the control panel and hibernation mode is there on the shut down screen when I press shift. I tried to hibernate the pc and it shut down ok and the hard drive went off.

When I switched it back on, it displayed "resuming windows", but then I got a blue screen saying something like windows had been disabled to protect it.

I had to switch it off and back on again, then I got the option to "delete restoration data" or "resume starting windows", so I picked the first option and it started up ok.

Is there something I'm doing wrong for it now to work properly?

Thanks in advance.
