According to the BBC Naomi Campbell was arrested on a plane at Heathrow Terminal 5.

Maybe its just me, but given the problems at T5 since it opened, is it really the best place to fly in or out of if you're a famous model who has a reputation for having a short temper ?

What's best was when BA were asked for a statement they replied " We cannot comment on individual cases".

She maybe stroppy, but how would you feel if BA managed to lose your bag BEFORE you even get on the aircraft? Would you feel better or worse if the bag contained the work items essential to the fulfil purpose of your trip? Would it appease your anger if BA offered to forward the baggage on (if they could find it) too late for you to make the intended use of it? Would it help to relax you to know that as a result of the loss of your baggage you will not be paid? If you point this out to BA and they call the police as a result of your justified disatisfaction, will you then begin to feel that they are at least making an effort to resolve the problem? If the police are more sympathetic to the incompetents who are responsible for your annoyance than to you- a paying customer who has received nothing for your money - will this soothe your worried brow? I know what the initials BA mean in my book, and I expect Naomi Campbell and most of the other angry travellers who have tried to do business with them, agrees with me.

Maybe I'm just more philosophical about life than you, 'Naomi Campbell and most of the other angry travellers'...

. . . . strange that she is believed to be the first passenger arrested of the tens of thousands of travellers affected by the chaos . . . . and the only one disgusting enough to 'allegedly' SPIT in the face of an officer as she was taken off a BA flight!

If true, spitting in the face of a police officer doing their job is a totally unacceptable and a disgusting thing to do. Losing your temper and verbally abusing staff in these situations is a demonstration of ignorance and achieves nothing. Far better to accept the situation like the rest of the public similarly inconvenienced and just get on with it.
I'm surprised BAA didn't add an irate passenger cooling off cellar to this magnificent expensive building. A couple of night solitary confinement where she could spit to her hearts content should calm her down.
Joe.

I dont believe BA would have called the police if her behaviour was reasonable. There is no point her taking out her anger on the staff who broke the bad news to her - its not their fault that her bag went missing. Yes anyone would be unhappy but most people would accept the bad news and deal with it.
Work items essential to the trip ? She was heading to a memorial service according to her spokeperson, and lets be honest - she's rich enough to be able to buy more clothes if her bag is delayed. Yes its annoying but she'd be compensated.
The police might have been more sympathetic if her behaviour was better. if she did spit in the police officers face as has been reported then that would get anyone arrested.
As an unhappy BA customer would you be happy for them to delay the plane load of passengers so someones bag could be located - I doubt it. BA could either upset one passenger or a whole plane load of them so they made the right decision.

I know that BA were having huge problems and causing tremendous upset to many people, but I think it's the fact that N.C. thought she was the only one that mattered. I never heard that any other passengers were carrying on like this and I have no doubt she was single minded for herself in the whole affair. I daresay that other people were causing fuss and bother, but none of them would have taken mind to spit on a policeman carrying out his duty. The police have a hard time without this upstart causing this to happen.

One of the most annoying things about people like N.C. Is the "Do you know who I am!?!" syndrome!
People like that think they are above everyone else and the law and whatever they want/demand, then it should be sorrted and it winds me up no end!
Someone close to me works in a newsagents and it is near a TV studio so she gets customers that are celebs. Richard Wilson has walked past a queue of people to the counter and when reminded politely that there was a queue he said "Do you know who I am!?"
Niel Morrisey (I hope he does this in front of me when I am up there!) went to pay with a note that wasn't accepted in the shop. She told him of this and he started getting right stroppy and also used the "Do you know who I am!?!" line
When she was trying to explaine the reasons to him, he was to busy giving her the "I am above you and your a nothing" attitude and tried making her look bad in front of other customers.
People like this and N.C. Is just the same, are a pain in the backside and need to be brought down a peg or 2! Or 5 in Morriseys case!
"Do you know who I am!?!" Yes... a moron!

The supermodel's spokeswoman said: "Naomi has been flying with BA for nearly 30 years and has been a good customer. She hopes this can be resolved amicably."
Seems to me it has been, at least for BA & their more self controlled passengers.
