I have set up a wireless network based on a Netgear wireless router in my house with a wireless access point in a separate building which I use as an office, which is connected to the router via an ethernet cable. I have a dead spot for wireless communications about halfway along the route of the cable, and I wonder if it is possible to break the cable and attach another wireless access point to aid reception, and then have the cable continue to its original destination. I know that I can run a cable parallel to the original one, but this is quite an involved process, so it would be really helpful if I were able to make use of the existing cable.

Two ways of doing it:
1. Cut the cable and fit new connectors either end. Connect these into a switch, then a wireless access point into the switch.
2. Use a powerline network kit. Plug one into a socket near your router and a cable from the router into the connection. Then plug in the other near your dead spot and an access point into that.

OK OK I can't go any faster! aaaaaaaaaaaagh!
