Harddrive size on XP

Hi all,

I have recently purchased a new 250gb harddrive to reinstall my XP. Once done (I still only have SP1 intalled) it only shows that the HD has 130gb.

Any advice?

If you install SP2, the full disk size will be recognised.

Thanks. Will I need to do anything once SP2 is installed or will it update automatically?

SP2 will automatically make the necessary changes to your operating system so it recognises all 250mb of your hard disk. There will be a whole pile of additional updates to be installed once you've got SP2. I would go to the Microsoft Update site and get both Critical and Recommended updates.
